| FAMILY HISTORY WORKSHOP ANNOUNCED The Westminster Historical Society announces a new series of workshops for persons interested in working on their family history. The first meeting will be held on Saturday, March 13 from 9 am to 12 Noon at the Historical Society house at 110 Main Street in Westminster. This group will be for anyone who would like to learn how to begin searching for their family roots or for those who would like to work with others who are doing the same. It's also for people who have hit a road block in creating their family tree. Bring what you have information you already have to this meeting. Bring your questions to this meeting, and experienced genealogy researches will help you find the answers. All the genealogy resources of the Historical Society will be available for research, including extensive town documents. Specific help in researching ancestors from Finland is available. The computer room at the Historical Society will also be open for persons to learn how to use the internet. The future of this group will be determined by those who attend this first workshop. | CALENDAR OF EVENTS The next meeting of the Westminster Historical Society will be on Saturday March 13 at the home of Bob Mason at 201 Princeton Road. Everyone is invited together between 1 and 3 pm at the sugar shack, where Bob will be boiling sap from local sugar maple trees to make maple syrup. Bob has been sugaring for many years and will answer questions about the process. Refreshments will be served. The public is invited.
