PAINT THE TOWN will take place on September 19, 2010, Sunday at the Legion Hall, 127 Main Street, Westminster. Local Artists will exhibit their painting (s) from 10 am till 6 pm. All art work exhibited will be sold at the silent auction and winning bidders will be announced at 6 pm. Paint the Town Registration Form ANNUAL MEETING-DATE CHANGED FAMILY HISTORY WORKSHOP ANNOUNCED The Westminster Historical Society announces a new series of workshops for persons interested in working on their family history. Meetings are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month and the public is invited to attend. A fee of $5.00 is requested each time you attend to cover administrative expenses. This group will be for anyone who would like to learn how to begin searching for their family roots or for those who would like to work with others who are doing the same. It's also for people who have hit a road block in creating their family tree. Bring what you have information you already have to this meeting. Bring your questions to this meeting, and experienced genealogy researches will help you find the answers. All the genealogy resources of the Historical Society will be available for research, including extensive town documents. Specific help in researching ancestors from Finland is available. The computer room at the Historical Society will also be open for persons to learn how to use the internet. | Our Annual Flea Market is coming up. September 25, from 9-2. Cleaning out your house or leftovers from your yard sale? We would love to have your items. Please leave them in a covered box in our barn. We CANNOT take appliances, computers, monitors and JUNK. This event will be held rain or shine. Large pieces of furniture, please make special arrangements by calling 978.874.5569. |
